VNG Annual Congress

The Klokgebouw Transformed into a Top Conference Venue

VNG organizes an annual conference for all council members, municipal secretaries, clerks, aldermen, and mayors of the Dutch municipalities. This is the largest conference in the Netherlands. Heuvelman Sound & Vision B.V. has been the audiovisual partner of this conference since 2013.

In 2025, the conference took place in the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven. This former Philips factory was transformed into a top conference venue, featuring two exhibition halls and a room for the plenary program. With more than 350 m² of LED screens and 600 meters of LED strips, it was an impressive setup.

Heuvelman took care of the entire organization of the event, a great example of our Event services. We enlisted the specialist help of, among others, Holland Reklame and Standbouw, Stagelight, XtremeLED, and also program maker Jaïr Ferwerda, and together we made it a fantastic whole.

For the opening of the VNG Annual Congress on Tuesday, June 17, a special show was developed with music by FAIS and DJ Kruzo. The theme of the congress, 'Together we create the future', was reflected on the LED screens and in the music. Under the watchful eye of King Willem-Alexander, it was an impressive start to the two-day congress.

In addition to the plenary hall, a trade floor was also set up with various stands, where exhibitors could order their audiovisual needs (e.g., LED screens) from Heuvelman. In 2026, the municipalities of Oost Gelre and Winterswijk will be the setting for the congress; we look forward to making it a spectacle again.
