In addition to fixed audiovisual facilities, Heuvelman also provides AV solutions for trade fairs and events at Jaarbeurs. This includes stage construction, lighting rigs and sound reinforcement for both speech and large-scale productions. With attention to detail and a strong focus on reliability, Heuvelman helps ensure that every event runs smoothly and professionally.

Recently, Heuvelman was awarded the contract for the renewal of the public address and voice alarm system in the exhibition halls of Koninklijke Jaarbeurs. In close cooperation with Building Services Amersfoort and the Jaarbeurs FES team, the complete evacuation installation is being replaced. The goal of this project is to enable a fast and controlled evacuation of the halls and Media Plaza in the event of fire or other emergencies, whether for the entire complex or specific areas.

The new solution combines the voice alarm system with the general sound system used for announcements and background music. In an emergency situation, the system automatically switches from background audio to alarm signals and evacuation messages. The installation complies fully with applicable standards, including NEN 2575 and NEN 2654, and remains operational in the event of power failure or fire.

Sustainability plays an important role within the long-term partnership between Jaarbeurs and Heuvelman. Jaarbeurs has the ambition to become energy neutral by 2030, with a strong focus on energy efficiency, reuse and responsible use of materials. When selecting audiovisual systems, careful consideration was given to solutions with a long lifespan, low energy consumption and minimal maintenance requirements. In this way Heuvelman contributes to a future-proof and sustainable operation of the venue.

The system is continuously monitored through line supervision, ensuring that any malfunction is detected immediately and reported to the service centre. To safeguard long-term reliability, Jaarbeurs has also opted for a maintenance contract covering inspections, testing and ongoing support.

The installation was carried out largely between events, requiring tight planning and close coordination with all involved partners. This project underlines the long-term partnership between Jaarbeurs and Heuvelman, with a strong focus on safety, continuity and visitor experience.
