Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and Heuvelman work together on a crisis room where technology must perform flawlessly at all times. For this space, we delivered a high-end audiovisual setup that supports rapid decision-making. In a medical environment, clarity, speed and ease of use are essential.
In crisis situations, it is vital that key stakeholders can come together quickly, share information and monitor developments in real time. The LUMC crisis room is therefore equipped with multiple large displays, allowing different information streams such as dashboards, presentations and live feeds to be shown simultaneously.
The room also features a flexible camera system. With cameras positioned in both the length and width of the space, users can easily switch between speakers, screens and whiteboards. This enables effective hybrid meetings with colleagues or external parties, while ensuring everyone sees exactly what is being discussed.
Ease of use was a key design principle. Through a central control panel, the room can be operated intuitively without technical expertise. This ensures the crisis room is immediately ready for use when it matters most.
With this solution, LUMC now has a future-proof crisis room where technology supports rather than distracts. A reliable audiovisual environment that meets the high standards of a medical institution.
Door het gebruik van een beheerpaneel is het systeem zeer gemakkelijk in gebruik en maakt het voor iedereen mogelijk om gebruik te maken van de crisisruimte in geval van een calamiteit.
