Should an emergency occur, the evacuation protocol is automatically activated, allowing the background music to make way for the desired alarm signals to evacuate the area(s).

NEN 2654 and NEN 2575

An evacuation system is installed fully according to various NEN standards (including NEN 2654 and NEN 2575) and is secured in such a way that it continues to function in the event of a fire or power failure. In addition to installation, the management, periodic checks, and maintenance of evacuation systems are also part of Heuvelman's expertise.

How Does an Evacuation System Work?

An evacuation system can be connected in various ways. You can choose to link the system to the fire alarm system. In the event of a fire, a signal will be sent to the system, causing a siren to automatically sound and an announcement to be played.
Another option is to connect the evacuation system to a central button in your building. In case of an emergency, this button can be manually pressed, causing the alarm to go off. A combination of these two options is also possible.

Monitoring

Through so-called line monitoring, the system is continuously monitored for functionality. This ensures that any malfunction in the system is always detected in time and automatically reported to the service center, where the problem can be immediately resolved. This ensures that the installation will always safeguard the safety in the building.
