New Technologies and Ease of Use in the Council Chamber

The Municipality of Berkelland is one of the municipalities with which Heuvelman has a multi-year cooperation agreement. This agreement pertains to the supply, installation, and service of audiovisual equipment within the town hall and the municipality's external locations.

The council chamber was in need of an AV update and also had to meet the current needs for information provision for council, committee, and board members. The audiovisual installation needed to be simpler and more user-friendly. Therefore, a new discussion system has been installed. A discussion system makes it easy to hold meetings, but also, for example, to vote.

A meeting management system is linked to the council information system. This makes the meeting simpler and requires fewer manual actions. Agenda items are displayed on the system, votes can be initiated, and motions are digitally available.

New LED screens have been installed in the council chamber, along with an AMX control system. This means that all screens can be operated from a single point. Participants who are speaking are automatically brought into view by a camera tracking system. Multiple participants can be shown simultaneously, and their names are also displayed. Voting results and speaking times can also be shown on the screen. The live camera images, including sound, can also be displayed in another room if, for example, there is no space for the public in the council chamber.
