Vacancy

As an Operational Buyer at Heuvelman, you will be responsible for purchasing audiovisual equipment, materials and services for a wide range of projects. Each day starts with checking incoming deliveries, working closely with the warehouse team and suppliers to monitor the progress of orders. You will review order confirmations for pricing and delivery times and take immediate action if materials cannot be delivered on schedule. In addition, you will manage the item database within the ERP system, ensuring colleagues always have access to up-to-date product information and accurate purchasing prices.

Throughout the day, you will handle incoming requests in the central procurement mailbox, independently setting priorities between urgent requests, backorder overviews and creating new product records. You will consolidate orders for the same suppliers to minimise transport costs and determine the most efficient ordering moments for projects scheduled further in the future. During the afternoon, you will regularly visit the warehouse to check which materials have arrived. You are encouraged to look beyond our regular suppliers whenever products are available faster or under better conditions elsewhere. Keeping Project Managers informed about changes in delivery times or pricing is an essential part of your role.

You will become part of the Sales team, working alongside the Sales Manager, Project Managers, Engineers and the Internal Sales team. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers and Engineers to coordinate procurement activities. You will also work regularly with the Finance department, for example when suppliers require advance payments, and with colleagues in the warehouse. Once a month, you will attend the sales meeting to share market insights on price developments and the availability of components.

If you enjoy collaborating with a variety of colleagues, like solving complex procurement challenges, have an affinity with audiovisual technology and can manage changing priorities under time pressure, this is the perfect role for you.
