Smurfit Kappa Innovation Event
An event that revolves around innovation, renewal and sustainability
Providing your guests with the ultimate experience is a challenge. A challenge in which an audiovisual partner can be invaluable. This is especially true for Smurfit Kappa’s Innovation Event 2019: an event that revolves around innovation, renewal and sustainability.
The Innovation Event for Smurfit Kappa was held in a magnificent hotel: the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk aan Zee. At this stylish location, customers and employees of the company came together to reflect on sustainability and packaging design.
For a large visual impact during the plenary part of the day, Heuvelman provided a 30 metre x 4.5 metre Pixel LED screen. Not only the presentations and videos were shown here, but also the live camera images of the event and the Design Challenge. In addition, care was taken of the audio, camera and lighting facilities and the stage and the voting system were provided. Heuvelman was responsible for the complete audiovisual execution of the event.
Design Challenge and Exhibition
An important part of the day was the Design Challenge initiated by Smurfit Kappa. During the challenge, colleagues, partners and companies were challenged to find paper-based alternatives to everyday, non-biodegradable packaging. These innovations were presented live from other rooms to the plenary session. There was also an interactive exhibition. Smurfit Kappa unveiled the most new and innovative developments in the field of packaging and sustainability. Heuvelman facilitated Oculus Go VR glasses, 20 displays and a 4-metre video wall for the various participants in the foyer.
Heuvelman is very pleased to have been involved in this unique Innovation Event. A great compliment from the organisation:
“We can look back on our most successful event to date. And I am convinced that Heuvelman’s expertise has largely contributed to that.” – Bert Bos, Senior Assistant Design & Visualization at Smurfit Kappa.
