Sustainability and smart use of existing resources are central to the update of the council chamber of the Municipality of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. After all, why replace well-functioning equipment when reuse is just as effective?

The existing rack has been relocated, with various components reused, while also being expanded with new elements such as AV over IP, new network facilities, wireless presentation, and a Microsoft Teams Rooms solution.

On a new trolley with a large display, Teams participants are immediately visible. All desks in the council chamber have been renewed and connected to a modern meeting management system, centrally operated by the City Clerk’s Office. Thanks to a direct link with the RIS, meetings are automatically loaded into the system.

For this update, a conscious choice was made to reuse the large presentation display, the confidence monitor, and the cameras. These have been strategically repositioned to ensure optimal visibility and efficient recording of the meetings. In this way, the council chamber combines modern technology with sustainability and ease of use.
