Renovated Council Chamber

Heuvelman has entered into an agreement with the municipality of Berkelland. The agreement concerns the supply, installation, and management & services of audiovisual equipment within the town hall and the municipality's external locations.

The first assignment involved replacing the audiovisual equipment in the council chamber. The equipment no longer met current standards and was partly outdated and in need of replacement. Additionally, over time, the municipality's needs regarding council or committee meetings have changed.

The desire for the new solutions was that they should meet the contemporary needs of information provision for council, committee, and board members as well as residents and businesses. Furthermore, the municipality wanted the new audiovisual installation to be simpler, much more user-friendly, and extremely reliable.Easy Meetings

The council chamber is equipped with a new discussion system. In addition to discussion posts for council members, the chairman, and the clerk, provision has also been made for interruption possibilities at 4 locations and a facility at the lectern.
The discussion posts are also used for electronic voting. New screens, a new audio system for the best sound, and a meeting management system have also been installed.

Meeting Management

The meeting management system is linked to the council information system. This makes the meeting more streamlined and requires fewer manual actions. Agenda items are displayed on the system, votes can be initiated, and motions and amendments are digitally available.

Smart Screens

The new LED screens have AMX control. This allows all screens to be operated from a single central point. With this system, it is possible to turn one or more screens on or off, display a presentation on one or more screens, and adjust the volume. This also allows the space to be set up for meetings and wedding ceremonies.

Participants who are speaking are automatically brought into view by a camera tracking system. Switching between these speakers is smooth. Multiple camera images can be displayed simultaneously on the screens, and the names of the participants are shown. A final possibility is displaying voting results and speaking times per speaker on the screens.

Live "in" the Council Chamber

The live camera images with speech can (if desired) be displayed in the restaurant or in the coffee room. This makes it possible to follow the meeting when there is no more room for the public in the council chamber.
